• The Stepwise EV Tap™ to maximize your home’s existing electrical capacity

• Full installation, permitting, and support

You can bring your own Level 2 EV charger or purchase one from your dealership / electrician

Because there are two funding programs available in your area that help lower the cost.

1. RMLD Rebate: RMLD offers a rebate that reduces the cost of the Stepwise EV Tap, a device that works with your EV charger and electric panel to provide fast charging. It also helps RMLD manage electricity demand, which can lead to lower electricity costs for everyone. RMLD further offers a $750 EV charger rebate.

2. State Funding: Stepwise was able to secure additional additional Massachusetts state funding to help cover homeowner installation costs because of the benefits to homeowners, utility providers and the community.

These combined incentives make installing an EV charger much more affordable for you.

Plus you’ll be enrolled in the RMLD Managed Charging programs for monthly electric bill savings.

You'll get the savings in two ways:

1. RMLD Rebate: This will appear as a credit on your utility bill.

2. State Funding: This discount is applied directly to your electrician’s invoice, so you’ll see the savings right away—no waiting or extra steps needed.

You’re eligible if you:

• Own a single-family home in Reading, North Reading, Wilmington, or Lynnfield Center, MA

• Currently own an EV or are planning to purchase one soon

• Want a cost-effective way to install or upgrade your home charger

Even if you already have an EV charger, you may still qualify. An electrician will handle the installation, and you can either use your own electrician or we’ll connect you with a qualified professional.

• For Homeowners: It allows for fast EV charging without costly electrical panel upgrades. You also gain insights into your energy usage and can take advantage of savings programs.

• For Utilities: It helps utility providers optimize the power grid by integrating smart charging solutions and shared energy data (with your permission).

EV Tap works with any charger, giving you total flexibility.
